GEC invests 200k euros in new Irish entrepreneurial network

DUBLIN, Ireland - After being ranked as the world's top business incubator at the UBI Awards this year, Dublin's Guinness Enterprise Centre (GEC) has announced its latest project in Ireland. 

GEC has unveiled plans for its new network initiative, which is set to involve its Dublin site partner with 120 enterprise hubs in Ireland. 

The business incubator has announced an investment of 200,000 euros in its latest initiative called the CoConnect programme.

GEC explained that the CoConnect programme will allow startups based in any connecting hub to use its coworking space.

Further, the company said that any startup at the Dublin centre would be allowed to base themselves in any of the 120 connected spaces across the country.

Announcing the investment in the project, Eamonn Sayers, Manager, Guinness Enterprise Centre said that establishing such an extensive entrepreneurial network "can make all the difference to a start-up."

GEC has also announced that all the companies that get involved with its initiative through their respective enterprise base, would have access to the company's University Programme. 

It said that its University Programme enables start-ups to work with Irish and international MBA and PhD students on finding solutions to their business challenges.

According to the company, as part of its CoConnect pilot initiative, it has already partnered with over 40 enterprise hubs over the last six months.
