DUBLIN, Ireland - Ryanair has launched two new winter routes linking Dublin to two locations - Frankfurt and Luxembourg.

Making the announcement on Wednesday, the Dublin Airport said that Ryanair would operate a three times weekly service to Luxembourg for the 2018-2019 winter season.

The airline has stated that it will operate 12 flights each week between Dublin and Frankfurt, along with five other destinations, including Athens in Greece, Bari in Italy, Marrakesh in Morocco, Santander in Spain and Paphos in Cyprus.

Ryanair's expansion comes at a time when the company is experiencing growing tensions with staff, that has already led to several strikes this year.

The Dublin Airport has stated that the new services are part of Ryanair’s seven new destinations from Dublin Airport this winter season.

Commenting on Ryanair's new routes, Vincent Harrison, Managing Director at the Dublin Airport said, “The addition of these new services further enhances Dublin Airport’s route network and provides greater choice and flexibility for customers.  We will work closely with Ryanair to help promote these new routes.”
