DUBLIN, Ireland - In an incident reported at the Stansted Airport, a Ryanair flight, which was carrying a number of passengers travelling back home to vote in the crucial referendum, collided with a jet.

The incident took place at the Stansted Airport on Friday, when the FR205 Ryanair flight, which was scheduled to leave Stansted at 8.15am on Friday, was waiting on the runway.

The Primera flight, which was taxiing behind it and was scheduled to travel to Malaga, scraped the tail stabiliser of the Ryanair plane on the runway

No injuries have been reported.

A Ryanair spokesperson said in a statement, “One of our aircraft was stationary at the designated holding point on the taxiway at London Stansted Airport this morning (25 May) when the winglet of a Primera Air aircraft (taxiing behind) scraped its tail stabiliser. Both aircraft were under the instruction of London Stansted Air Traffic Control at the time. The Ryanair aircraft returned to stand to be inspected by Ryanair engineers. To minimise delay, customers will transfer to a replacement aircraft later this morning.”
