CALIFORNIA, U.S. - With Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel has managed to throw open a heated debate amongst superhero fans - who are excited, scared, baffled and curious all at once as the movie packs a dozen superheroes fighting a dangerous and more deadly than before villain in a single movie.

As Marvel released a new trailer for Avengers: Infinity War - it came with a surprise, the launch of ticket presales - more than a month before the movie is set to be released.

Not only does the new trailer expand on the last big tease, released in long-forgotten November, but it adds plenty for fans to speculate on.

Then there are the rumors of a fan favorite from Game of Thrones being signed on for the Avengers’ movie.

Now, analysts have revealed that the new trailer managed to push the advance ticket sales to record-breaking numbers, with Avengers: Infinity War easily outstripping the first-day 24-hour ticket sales of both Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Black Panther.

The upcoming Marvel flick is already being titled the best-selling superhero movie in advance ticket sales.

On movie ticket company Fandango, Avengers: Infinity War won the title in a span of six hours after tickets went on sale.

In January, Black Panther beat the three-day opening of Civil War, $202 million to $179.1 million which set it up for a massive box office haul, that has since suprassed $1 billion.

Fandango has also released results from a user survey that showed a high level of excitement for the film that is set to come out on April 27.

Fandango said that, of 1,000 viewers it surveyed, 87 percent had seen all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, and 71 percent had seen Black Panther.

It said that more significantly, 60 percent said Black Panther fired them up to see Infinity War.

Analysts are already anticipating that like Black Panther, MCU’s next blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War is on track to rake in a huge amount of money at the box office.

According to Box Office Mojo, its predecessors, Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, grossed $1.5 billion and $1.4 billion.
