Pritchett, Dejoria roar to wins at Lucas Oil Nationals

Leah Pritchett and Alexis Dejoria were the NHRA's big winners on Sunday in the Lucas Oil Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway in Brainerd, Minn.

In an event that Pritchett smashed the national Top Fuel record (3.640 seconds), she beat Antron Brown in the final. Brown was competing in the final round in his fifth consecutive event.

Pritchett ran 328.06 mph for her fourth win of the season. Brown's car slowed to the finish, running 246.35 mph at 4.001 seconds.

Dejoria won her first Funny Car race of the season and reached the final for the first time since the spring of last year. She beat Tommy Johnson Jr. in a close final, 330.96 mph to 326.44 mph.

Tanner Gray edged Bo Butner in the Pro Stock final. Gray ran 208.04 mph at 6.610 seconds to Butner's 207.85 mph at 6.629 seconds. Gray was in the final for the fifth time this season.

Jerry Savoie beat White Alligator Racing teammate LE Tonglet in the final of Pro Stock Motorcycle.

Both clocked nearly perfect reaction times. Savoie ran 194.80 mph at 6.846 seconds to Tonglet's 194.02 mph at 6.910 seconds. Savoie has won two races this season and Tonglet five.
