Chinese ramp up steel production as potential U.S. tariffs loom

Chinese steelmakers continued to pour on the coal even as President Donald Trump considers new limits on foreign-made steel entering the U.S., especially Chinese-made steel.

Trump told reporters last week on the way to Paris that he was considering either tariffs or quotes or both on steel imports, according to multiple media reports.

"Maybe I'll do both," Trump told reporters (via CNBC).
