With new building, BMO Harris seals future in downtown Milwaukee
When BMO Harris Bank acquired Milwaukee-based MI Marshall Ilsley Bank in 2011, Rocky Marcoux, commissioner of the Milwaukee Department of City Development, said the merger prompted some anxiety among city officials.
"Our concern with the sale was that BMO might not treat Milwaukee as a legacy market," Marcoux recalled.
But now, with the announcement of BMO Harris' new 25-story class A office tower in downtown Milwaukee, those worries have all but vanished.
