AztraZeneca cutting 700 U.S jobs, 120 in Phila. region
AstraZeneca said Thursday is eliminating about 700 positions in the United States, including 120 at its North American headquarters in Wilmington.
The London-based pharmaceutical company also operates a packing facility in Newark, Del., that is not expected to be impacted by the layoffs.
The layoffs are schedule to take effect by Feb. 10. About 80 jobs being cut will come from existing vacancies, the company said.
