MGM National Harbor at last opens its doors to the public as the newest, and last, casino in Maryland on Thursday. The $1.4 billion project brings a new hotel, a concert venue and several big names in the culinary world to the affluent Washington, D.C., market.
But its closest competitors say they are operating as usual as the state's sixth casino prepares to open and aren't concerned about losing experienced employees to the newest gaming floor on the block that will employee nearly 4,000 people.
