Just promoted to COO, this is likely the next CEO of a Nashville public company
An executive vice president at Nashville-based Louisiana-Pacific Corp. has been promoted to chief operating officer, but it's likely that another title also is in his future: CEO.
According to a news release, the manufacturer of wooden building products (NYSE: LPX) created the new COO position 'for the purpose of implementing its orderly management succession plan.' The board of directors appointed Executive Vice President Brad Southern to the position.
