With renewed funding, Ohio rural broadband initiative says high-speed internet 'can save these communities'

Connect Ohio has a one-year renewal of its mapping, research and policy work supporting statewide access to high-speed internet after all but shutting down the first half of the year.

Advances in technology widen rural gaps in broadband coverage every time the state nearly catches up, at a time when high-speed internet has become essential to economic development, said Stu Johnson, interim executive director.
