El Dorado names construction manager for $36M bond plan
El Dorado USD 490 has its construction manager.
The district has selected Simpson Construction Services to oversee all aspects of a $36 million bond plan to construct two new elementary schools and convert a historic middle school building into performing arts center.
Voters approved the bond issue in May.
Sue Givens, the district's superintendent, says the projects are in the design phase, with construction expected to start in March. It's possible, she says, that some of the work will happen...
