Much of the Washington area will fare much better than the rest of the country when it comes to public exchange insurance premiums, which the Obama administration said Tuesday will rise on average by 25 percent nationwide on its HealthCare.gov insurance exchange.
Patients subscribing to the public exchange in Virginia, one of 39 states that utilize HealthCare.gov, are slated to see their insurance rates rise an average of 8.4 percent throughout the state.
