PHOTOS: Van Gogh, Inca royalty, forest nymphs inspire designers at HighBall 2016
A theme inspired by the work of Vincent Van Gogh helped a local fashion designer win the annual HighBall Halloween couture costume contest for the second time Saturday in the Short North.
Freelance costume designer, window display artist and stylist Shiree Houf was named best of show for her "Starry Night" creation based on the famous painting by Van Gogh. Houf and a design partner won the couture contest, sponsored by Battelle, in 2014 as well.
