CAVAN, Ireland - Following a request by the Gardai, an Army Bomb Disposal team rushed to Cavan Town after two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were discovered.

According to reports, the IEDs were found inside a derelict house in the Aughnaskerry area on the outskirts of Cavan Town.

The bomb disposal team is said to have examined the devices and found them to be two viable igniferous IEDs.

The team is said to have made safe the two viable IEDs around 8.45 pm on Saturday evening.

The IEDs were then moved to an undisclosed military location for further examination.

The scene was declared safe at 10.40 pm the same night.

Reports stated that the team would now conduct a technical examination of the devices and will then hand over the parts to the Gardai as evidence.
