Twin motorcycle crash on Hartstown Road in Blanchardstown leaves one dead

DUBLIN, Ireland - The Hartstown Road in Blanchardstown remained closed for several hours after a motorcycle crash turned fatal on Saturday night.

According to the gardai, two motorcyclists collided around 6.50 pm local time on Saturday leading to one man being gravely injured in the accident.

The man, believed to be in his early 20s was reportedly rushed to the Connolly Hospital but was declared dead shortly after reaching the hospital.  

The other man involved in the accident, also believed to be in his early 20s is said to have escaped injury. 

Gardai said that they had conducted a forensic examination at the accident spot and that the Hartstown Road, at the Community College remained closed in both directions.
