Armenia to take part in 2019 FIBA World Cup qualifying tournament

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's national basketball team will participate in the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifying tournament, the team said in a Facebook post.

The qualifying matches will be held on August 2-17, 2017, the draw will take place in the Czech capital city of Prague on December 10.

The Armenian team is participating in the World Cup qualifying stage for the first time.

Armenia's national team on July 3 won the 2016 FIBA European Championship For Small Countries, thus winning the opportunity to participate in the qualifying campaign of the European Championship finals.
