Oil and natural gas production is down, but a new report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas shows that there may be whispers of a recovery in the wind.
Data released on Wednesday in the Dallas Fed Energy Survey reveals that business activity in the oil and gas sector increased during the third quarter.
The survey's business activity index, which is considered to be broadest measure of conditions facing energy firms, strengthened from 13.8 in the second quarter to 26.7 in the third quarter.
