First look at Nick Jonas in new 'Jumanji' movie

PanARMENIAN.Net - Production on Sony's new "Jumanji" movie continues in Hawaii and a new picture from the filming set has emerged online. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took to his Instagram account on Tuesday, September 27 to share a picture featuring him as "The Smoldering" Dr. Bravestone as well as offering the first look at Nick Jonas who looked firm in his full jungle costume, AceShowbiz said.

"Officially welcoming my guy @NickJonas to Jumanji," the former wrestler wrote in the caption. "Great dude, great positive energy and very talented. He's gonna kill this role like I kill things with my bare hands. The jungle awaits. The adventure continues." He jokingly added, "And ironically the one who sings the most on set is Jack Black."

Details about Nick Jonas' role in the new "Jumanji" film are still kept under wraps, but the 24 year-old actor/singer seems excited. In his own Instagram post, he wrote, "DJ and I looking tough. JUMANJI It's going down... This cast, crew and creative team are incredible." The former Jonas Brothers member added, "The journey continues. hawaii jumanji."

Directed by Jake Kasdan from a script written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, the upcoming fantasy movie also stars Jack Black as Professor Shelly Oberon, Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse and Kevin Hart as Moose Finbar. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers pen the original draft based on Chris Van Allsburg's Caldecott Medal-winning adventure book.

Said to be the continuation of the 1995 original pic, the new "Jumanji" movie is set to hit U.S. theaters on July 28, 2017.
