Premera and Providence reach agreement on coverage
Premera Blue Cross and Providence St. Joseph Health are one step closer to staying in business together.
In July, negotiations between the health insurer and hospital system ended without a signed contract. That meant more than 500,000 patients at Providence, Swedish Health Services, Pacific Medical Centers and Kadlec Health Services would have had to seek treatment elsewhere to be covered by their insurance in 2017.
