PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia's delivery of arms worth $200 million to Armenia have already started, RFE/RL Armenian Service cited Ambassador Ivan Volynkin as saying.

The Russian government granted Armenia a $200 million loan for the purchase of military products. Under the terms of the 10-year export loan Armenia will have to pay 10% for all purchases, with the rest to be covered by the credit.

Weighing in on the supply of Iskander ballistic missile systems to Armenia, the Russian envoy said that "this fact testifies to the allied relations between the two countries."

"The sale of Iskander means that a certain agreement has been reached," Volynkin said.

Dwelling on the $200 million deal, the diplomat said that it's in the implementation stage, all the contractual obligations having been signed.
