Washington D.C. [USA], Sept. 25 (ANI): American singer Christina Grimmie, who was tragically killed by a gunman at the end of a live concert in Florida, was recently remembered with a touching tribute of her first iHeart Radio Music Festival performance.

The 2016 iHeart Radio Music Festival paid tribute to the late singer just a year after she first performed at the annual event with a moving compilation of her too short-lived career, reports E! Online.

Compiled with the vocalist's live performances and YouTube videos, the short documentary shows the American star narrating a poignant message to her loyal followers and fans.

"My fans are literally the biggest part of why I'm this far, why I'm doing what I'm doing is because you guys support me and have such a love for me," she is seen saying in the video.

"You are an extremely unique, individual person. Don't let those invalid opinions of others just bring you to the pits, okay?," she later added.

The Internet radio platform also took to its official Twitter account to pay the tribute.

"One year ago, she captivated our audience at the iHeartFestival. Tonight, we remember the incredible life and music of Christina Grimmie," it tweeted.

The former Voice contestant, who won the fan-voted Macy's 'iHeartRadio Rising Star' contest was fatally shot while signing autographs for fans at Orlando's Plaza Live Theater on June 10, 2016. (ANI)
