Black pilots accuse United Airlines of racial discrimination
A group of black United Airlines pilots has asked Congress and the U.S. Department of Justice to look into alleged discriminatory hiring and promotion practices at the company.
The Chicago Tribune reported Thursday that the pilots, who have filed a lawsuit against Chicago-based United, allege they were passed over for promotions because of their race and and faced retaliation from management for lodging civil rights complaints.
