Tourism rises at key North Carolina beaches
Tourism officials at some of North Carolina's major beach destinations say business has been steady, and sometimes even up, this summer as the beach season heads to a close with Labor Day weekend ahead.
Many in North Carolina had concerns after House Bill 2 passed in March. Major acts like Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam decided not to play in the state, some companies like PayPal (Nasdaq: PYPL) dropped expansion plans and some conventions planned for the state were dropped.
