Local executive named CEO of company using bees for pest control
Ashish Malik, a longtime executive in the local agricultural technology industry, has been named CEO of a new company that's using bees to deliver biologically-based pest control products directly to crops.
Malik, who was previously vice president of global marketing with Bayer CropScience in West Sacramento, was named CEO Tuesday of Bee Vectoring Technologies International Inc., which is developing biological pesticides and a novel delivery method where bees do the work.
