Network security startup Observable Networks raises $2.45 million

Clayton-based network security startup Observable Networks has raised $2.45 million in new financing, company officials said Thursday.

The financing round was led by DH Capital and also included additional funding from existing investor Vectis II, Stifel Financial Corp.s life sciences and health care fund.

The money will let Observable Networks, which offers its network security system as a service to analyze and monitor all network devices, from printers and phones to data centers, expand its sales and marketing teams and develop its cloud-based security-as-a-service system.

To date, the company has raised just more than $4 million. Observable Networks has also received nearly $900,000 in National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants. ...
